The long and winding road that leads to your door Will never disappear I've seen that road before it always leads me here Leads me to your door The wild and windy night that the rain washed away Has left a pool of tears crying for the day Why leave me standing here, let me know the way Many times I've been alone and many times I've cried.

" The Long and Winding Road " is a ballad written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon–McCartney) that originally appeared on the Beatles ' album Let It Be. It became the group's 20th and last number-one song in the United States on 13 June , and was the B-side: "For You Blue".

Directed by Eduardo Eguia Dibildox, Brian Huckeba. With John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr. They shook the world. They changed the course of history. They are much more than just a rock group; they are a part of our lives. THE BEATLES:A LONG AND WINDING ROAD is the incredible story of the world's enduring love affair with four lads from Liverpool who became the /10(3).

‘The Long And Winding Road’ started out as a simple McCartney ballad, written in Scotland in at a time in which the cracks in The Beatles’ relationships were become ever deeper. A demo was recorded during the White Album sessions, but taken no further. I was a bit flipped out and tripped out at that time.

May 25,  · Directed by John Pasquin. With Tim Allen, Patricia Richardson, Earl Hindman, Debbe Dunning. Tim and Al do their final Tool Time show. Many of the past Tool Time guests appear. For closures: Heidi is pregnant; Wilson's fence comes down; Al and Trudy get married in Tim & Jill's backyard; Tim and Jill have second thoughts about moving/10(1).

McCartney has confirmed that the 'long and winding road' referred to in the song is in fact the B road through East Kintyre in Scotland. He has his farm just off the road near a hamlet called Saddell and the area is close to his heart.
